Using less, in practice.

What the research actually supports about tolerance, breaks and dose — written for the evening you are trying to change, not for a journal.

What is a t-break?

T-break is short for tolerance break: a deliberate pause in cannabis use so a normal amount works again. The usual answer is 21 days. The receptor evidence says less.

Does a 48-hour tolerance break do anything?

Two days measurably moves CB1 receptor availability in human brain imaging. It does not clear THC and it is not a full reset. What 48 hours buys, and what it does not.

Tolerance break withdrawal: what happens, and when

Symptoms usually start 24 to 48 hours after the last use, crest across days two to six, and are gone inside two weeks. About half of regular users get them. Sleep is the exception.

Why doesn't weed get me high anymore?

Two things happened, not one. Your CB1 receptors came down, and the product got roughly three times stronger. Most answers only cover the first half.

How to lower weed tolerance without quitting

You cannot skip the gap entirely, but it is far shorter than quitting. Two days off, a deliberately small return dose, and a ceiling you actually hold.

What a tolerance break feels like, day by day

Day two is the peak, not day one. What to expect at each stage of a six-day reset, which symptoms are normal, and when the first dose back should come.

How long does a cannabis tolerance break take?

Two days moves your CB1 receptors; four weeks finishes the job. The usual 21-day answer measures how long THC takes to clear, which is a different question entirely.

Does a tolerance break actually work?

Yes, and there is direct human brain-imaging evidence for it rather than folklore. Here is exactly what that evidence shows, what it was found in, and where it stops.

Why does less weed feel stronger than more?

A small dose is not a faint version of a large one. Low doses recruit your body's own endocannabinoids and treat receptors differently, which is why the climb back matters more than the break.

How do you raise endocannabinoids without cannabis?

Exercise has the best evidence, diet and omega-3s some, sleep and stress matter, and the chocolate claim is smaller than the internet suggests. What a systematic review actually found.
